Scottish Beaver Trial
Gartnagrenach is ideally located to allow you to explore the beaver trails and lochs without using the car.
We are the nearest self catering accommodation to the Knapdale Beaver Trail and release area. We are right in the middle of the trial area, both the main Knapdale beaver lochs, Coille Bhar and Barnluasgan are only a 5 minute stroll from the house, and the smaller lochs are within easy reach. Really handy as they are most active at dawn and dusk when you are most likely to see a Kapdale Beaver! There are also signs of beaver activity in the burn running alongside our field. You don't even need to take the car!
The Argyll Beaver Centre is within easy reach where you find an abundance of information not just about the beavers but other forms of local wildlife and fauna. Forestry and Land Scotland also have information here Barnluasgan - Forestry and Land Scotland
